Spicy Peanut Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons avocado oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • ½ to ¾ cup water
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Directions
  1. Heat the oil in a small pot, and add the garlic and ginger. Cook on medium-high for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Add in ½ cup of water, the peanut butter, lemon juice, chili sauce, hoisin sauce, and soy sauce. Stir until smooth.
  3. Reduce the heat to a simmer, and cook for 10 minutes until it has thickened. If you want the sauce thinner, add the remaining ¼ cup of water.
  4. Top with red pepper flakes, peanuts, and cilantro, if desired.
