Spicy Peanut Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
2 teaspoons avocado oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
½ to ¾ cup water
¼ cup peanut butter
½ lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons chili sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Optional Ingredients
red pepper flakes, for topping
peanuts, for topping
Directions
Heat the oil in a small pot, and add the garlic and ginger. Cook on medium-high for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add in ½ cup of water, the peanut butter, lemon juice, chili sauce, hoisin sauce, and soy sauce. Stir until smooth.
Reduce the heat to a simmer, and cook for 10 minutes until it has thickened. If you want the sauce thinner, add the remaining ¼ cup of water.
Top with red pepper flakes, peanuts, and cilantro, if desired.
