  • 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 3 tablespoons dill pickle brine
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  • ½ sleeve Ritz crackers
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 cup dill pickle slices
  • Toasted bread or more Ritz crackers
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in the cayenne, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, chipotle powder, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant and glossy. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Combine it in a large bowl with sour cream, cheddar, mozzarella, pickle brine, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper and mix until fully combined.
  7. Fold in the shredded chicken.
  8. Pour in three-quarters of the Nashville hot paste and stir to incorporate.
  9. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch cast iron skillet or baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  10. Drizzle the remaining hot paste over the top.
  11. Transfer half the Ritz crackers to a plastic bag and crush them using a rolling pin. Alternatively, you can also pulse them in a food processor until they resemble bread crumbs.
  12. Top the dip with the cracker mixture and bake for 20–25 minutes until it’s bubbling at the edges and golden on top.
  13. Drizzle with honey and scatter chives and a few pickle slices over the top.
  14. Serve the Nashville hot chicken dip immediately with pickle slices and toasted bread or crackers alongside.
