Ingredients
  • 2 racks pork baby back ribs, silver skin trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne
  • ½ teaspoon ground mustard
  • ¼ cup hot mustard
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons dry rub blend
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup water
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 250 F.
  2. Pat the ribs completely dry and place them on a foil-lined sheet tray.
  3. Combine the spices in a bowl.
  4. Rub the ribs with spices on either side, reserving 3 tablespoons for the barbecue sauce.
  5. Bake, uncovered, for 3 hours.
  6. In the meantime, make the barbecue sauce. Combine the mustard, sugar, and spice mixture in a large bowl.
  7. While whisking, add the oil slowly.
  8. Stir in the honey and vinegar, then add water 1 tablespoon at a time until you've reached your desired consistency.
  9. When the ribs are done, reserve ¼ cup of honey mustard sauce for serving, then brush the ribs with half of the remaining honey mustard sauce.
  10. Tightly wrap each rack with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  11. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium heat.
  12. Once hot, add the ribs and sear to char slightly on either side, brushing with the remaining barbecue sauce.
  13. Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes, then slice between each bone and serve with the reserved barbecue sauce.
