Blended Beef And White Bean BBQ Burgers Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces cooked white beans
  • 12 ounces ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon hot chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 ½ cups shredded red cabbage
  • ½ cup shredded carrot
  • ¼ cup finely diced white onion
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 4 burger buns
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 ½ cups mixed salad leaves
  • 4 gherkins, sliced
Directions
  1. In a food processor, blend the white beans for 15 seconds.
  2. Add the blended white beans to a large bowl with the ground beef, mayonnaise, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, chili powder, and salt and pepper.
  3. Thoroughly mix the ingredients.
  4. Divide the mixture into 4 even portions. Use your hands to form each portion into a patty.
  5. Place the beef patties on a plate lined with parchment paper, cover with food wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. To start the slaw, mix in a small bowl the mayonnaise, white wine vinegar, mustard, and sugar. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. In a separate bowl, add the shredded red cabbage, carrot, and onion.
  8. Pour the sauce over the top and mix well to coat.
  9. In a large frying pan, heat the oil on medium-high heat.
  10. Add the patties, making sure not to crowd the pan. Work in batches if needed.
  11. Sear the burger patties for 4 minutes on each side, until browned and cooked through.
  12. Start assembling the burger by spreading the bottom buns with barbecue sauce.
  13. Top with mixed salad leaves and gherkins.
  14. Place the cooked patties on top of the greens.
  15. Layer on the crunchy slaw and finish by adding the top buns.
  16. Serve immediately.
