Servings:
12 Straws
Ingredients
  • 1 puff pastry sheet, thawed and cold
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground sweet paprika
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
Directions
  1. Unroll the thawed puff pastry sheet and roll it out to enlarge slightly, keeping the shape rectangular.
  2. Cut the sheet in half lengthwise.
  3. Evenly distribute the cheddar and Parmesan over one half of the pastry.
  4. Sprinkle the garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper over the cheese and place the other half of the pastry on top, trimming the edges to make them straight.
  5. Press the folded pastry gently, and cut it into strips about 1 inch wide.
  6. Gently twist each strip and place them in an air fryer basket or rack in a single layer (cook them in batches if they don't all fit).
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 350 F.
  8. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes until crispy and golden, then remove the cheese straws from the air fryer and transfer them to a wire rack to cool slightly.
  9. Serve the cheese straws warm or at room temperature.
