Spicy Spiralized Rutabaga "Pasta" Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 rutabagas
  • 1 (28-ounce) can crushed fire roasted tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic granules
  • 1 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
  1. Wash and peel the rutabaga.
  2. Spiralize the rutabaga using whatever blade size you prefer and set aside.
  3. Add the fire-roasted tomatoes, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and garlic granules to a medium pot.
  4. Simmer for 20 minutes over low heat.
  5. Add the oil to a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Saute the rutabaga noodles in the pan for 5 minutes until tender with a little bit of crunch.
  7. Once the sauce is done simmering, add it to the noodles and serve.
