Add the ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, oats, eggs, milk, ketchup, wholegrain mustard, garlic, parsley, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce to a large bowl or food processor. Proceed to blend all of the ingredients together until they are thoroughly combined.
Transfer the meatloaf mixture into a 2-pound loaf tin, and then smooth the top down with the back of a spoon. layer the bacon slices over the top of the smooth beef and pork mixture, and then cover the loaf tin well with aluminum foil.
Place the tin into the oven for 2 hours to slowly cook. When it is ready, remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow it to rest for at least 10 minutes before removing it from the loaf tin and serving with a spiced barbecue sauce. This meatloaf can be enjoyed hot or cold, and any leftovers should be stored in the fridge.
