Ingredients
  • 2 cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅓ cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • ½ cup strawberry yogurt
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 drops red food coloring
  • ¼ cup sprinkles, to decorate
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F, and lightly grease your donut pan. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  2. Add in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, eggs, white sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, milk, and yogurt, and beat until completely combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a piping bag, or a plastic bag with the corner cut off. Pipe the batter into the cavities of the prepared donut pans, filling them each about ⅔ full.
  4. Bake the donuts in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until they spring back when touched. Let the donuts cool completely.
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the confectioners' sugar, the remaining ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth.
  6. Add 2 to 3 drops of red food coloring, and mix until combined. Add more food coloring, if you want a darker red color.
  7. Dip the cooled donuts in the glaze, then top with sprinkles. Let the donuts sit until the glaze sets, then serve.
