Situated in Seoul's Cheongdam-dong, Baskin-Robbins Brown sells 100 ice creams and an assortment of ice cream desserts, notes Yuri Choi. The store serves unique flavors, like Sweet Potato Cheese, Green Tea Cookie, and Ssal Tteok, an ice cream made with the traditional rice cake, injeolmi, in mind.
Baskin Robbins Brown is one of over 2,000 ice cream and donut stores launched by SPC Group, a Korean food corporation that teamed up with design team Pentagram to attract busy professional customers to the store. The name "Brown" is thought to conjure ideas of chocolate and coffee, and the first two letters is an acronym of Baskin Robbins, explains Pentagram.
Each month, a new special flavor graces the menu at Baskin-Robbins Brown, keeping regulars and celebrities alike frequenting the downtown location. The store also serves ice cream fondue platters and organic ice cream, so sweet-seeking visitors have plenty of options to choose from (per YouTube).
