Raquel Pelzel Named Senior Food Editor of TastingTable.com
New York, NY (January 23, 2012)--Tasting Table, the free daily epicurean email publication, has named Raquel Pelzel as its senior food editor. Pelzel will head the food department, managing the Chefs' Recipes edition, monthly menus and all recipe testing and development.
Prior to joining the company, Pelzel worked as an editor at Cook's Illustrated as well as a freelance recipe developer, cookbook author and food writer. To date, Pelzel has collaborated on 13 cookbooks, including the James Beard Award-winning The Quick Recipe. Pelzel attended Johnson & Wales and has had articles featured in the Wall Street Journal, Saveur, New York Magazine, Fine Cooking and Gilt Taste.
"Our food department tests each and every recipe before it is published on Tasting Table, so we were focused on finding someone who was knowledgeable and experienced both in and out of the kitchen," says Tasting Table's editor in chief, Scott Hocker.
