Tasting Table Welcomes New San Francisco Editor
New York, NY (January 17, 2011)--Tasting Table, the country's fastest-growing digital epicurean publication, has named Jessica Battilana as its new San Francisco editor. Battilana is based in San Francisco and will report to Editor in Chief Nick Fauchald.
"As a veteran journalist and culinary whiz, Jessica is an ideal addition to our editorial team," says Fauchald. "She knows the Bay Area food scene inside and out, and we're excited to watch the edition grow and thrive under her expertise."
Before joining Tasting Table, Battilana served as associate eating and drinking editor of 7x7 Magazine. Her work has also appeared in Martha Stewart Living, the New York Times, Saveur, Sunset and Best Food Writing 2008. She holds a Grande Dîplome from Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne in Burgundy, France, and has previously worked as a cheesemonger, caterer and private chef.
Battilana takes the helm from former San Francisco editor Scott Hocker, who has since joined Tasting Table's New York office as Senior Editor. After overseeing the successful launch and development of Tasting Table San Francisco, Hocker has moved to the East Coast to work alongside Fauchald in managing and editing the publication's content across all seven editions.
