Scott Hocker Named Editor in Chief of Tasting Table
New York, NY (September 22, 2011)--Tasting Table, the country's fastest-growing digital epicurean publication, is delighted to announce the promotion of Scott Hocker to Editor in Chief. In his new role, Hocker will oversee editorial strategy and operations for the publication and manage the company's growing editorial department.
Hocker joined Tasting Table in September 2009 as San Francisco Editor; he was previously a senior editor at San Francisco magazine. In January 2011, Hocker relocated to Tasting Table headquarters in Manhattan when he was promoted to Senior Editor.
"Since Scott joined the company two years ago, he's been a major influence in shaping our editorial style and direction," says Geoff Bartakovics, CEO Tasting Table. "In his new role, Scott will ensure that our dining and drinking recommendations are consistently delicious, relevant and unexpected. Scott's also a creative editor, so Tasting Table members can expect some new twists in the way we cover the epicurean landscape."
Tasting Table has five city editions--New York, Chicago, LA, DC and San Francisco--and 3 national editions: National, the bi-weekly Chefs' Recipes and Top Shelf.
