More Ways to Eat (and Drink) Through Chicago

Recently we offered up four of our top picks for an eating tour in Chicago. But with its rich and bustling restaurant scene, we had difficulty limiting our choices. Here are a few more places we love, should you have a bit more time on you next trip.

Scofflaw: This new Logan Square cocktail boîte has unpretentious neighborhood appeal. Settle into Louis XIV-style couches for a tiki-inspired rum-pineapple swizzle or a drink with gin, the spirit of focus. We snagged the recipe for one such cocktail called the Rocket Frost (click here to see the recipe).

Ada St.: Instead of playing tunes on a jukebox, guests can pick out records from this restaurant's vast selection and give them to the bartender for spinning. While you're listening to your favorite tunes, feast on simple but powerfully flavorful food, such as octopus with Tabasco mash and lemon-y escarole salad.

Nellcôte: Pasta fans need look no further than this new spot, which turns out fresh strands of noodles each day. We're partial to the strozzapreti with lobster, tossed in an unexpected pesto of Fresno chiles, pine nuts and onions.
