Keep Your Knives Sharp

Editor-in-chief Scott Hocker suggests an easy way to keep your knives sharp. Don't scrape ingredients off cutting boards with the sharpened side of the knife. Flip the knife over to swipe ingredients off the board. That way, you won't dull the blade unnecessarily.
