Editor, National Edition

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

TastingTable.com, the daily email devoted to the best of food and drink culture, is hiring a National editor who will be based in Tasting Table’s New York City headquarters. The National editor will be responsible for the content, vision and growth of Tasting Table’s National edition.

Responsibilities
- Creating custom editorial content for the daily National edition
- Managing the edition’s editorial calendar
- Managing a network of freelance writers and designers
- Maintaining the edition’s social media presence
- Working alongside the other members of Tasting Table’s editorial team to keep the editorial content accurate, fresh and exciting
- Representing the publication as a member of the editorial team
- Contributing any brainstorming required to support all of the Tasting Table teams/departments in pursuit of creating and maintaining a high-quality digital epicurean brand

Requirements
- 4-year degree
- 5+ years editorial experience
- Whip-smart writer and editor
- Ironclad grasp of the country’s food scene
- Digital (Mac-based) savvy, including intimate knowledge of Google Apps, content management systems, social media, SEO, Photoshop
- Strong attention to detail, verging on OCD-like tendencies to re-check your work twice before becoming comfortable that the work is accurate
- A robust Rolodex of contacts in the food and drink world
- Masterful communication and multitasking skills (this position will require frequent interdepartmental collaboration)

Merchandising Manager

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table is hiring a Merchandising Manager to join our growing business development department. This manager will work closely with the advertising sales team to create marketing programs that meet advertisers' brand goals and objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent copywriting and copy editing skills
- 3-5 Years of experience in media, including development of integrated marketing programs (print, digital, tablet, mobile and events)
- Extremely organized multi-tasker
- Tech skills: InDesign, Photoshop, Mac applications, Powerpoint
- Passion for food & dining plus some industry expertise

Responsibilities:
- Field day-to-day integrated merchandising and RFP requests from advertising sales team
- Independently manage workload to insure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with other departments (operations, marketing, editorial) to provide detailed hand-off sold merchandising programs
- Complete client recaps
- Work with sales team to develop custom solutions for high profile advertising partners
- Develop new merchandising packages/programs.
- Create/write category-specific presentations, sell sheets and other sales collateral
- Assist sales team in developing compelling sales stories for advertisers based on editorial and audience statistics

Account Manager

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table is looking for a superstar account manager to join our growing advertising sales team. Our new teammate should be a self-motivated, outgoing, proven go-getter with a strong understanding of digital advertising. Experience in high-volume cold calling as well as pitching to senior executives is a huge asset as the candidate must demonstrate success in selling to upper level management and advertising agencies.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience selling integrated programs (more than just banners) with proven success
- Motivated & smart with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communicator – great writer & speaker
- Creative & strategic self-starter with the ability to connect with difficult-to-reach clients and build unique partnership ideas for them
- Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities:
- Prospect, negotiate and secure media partnerships with agencies and clients
- Achieve quarterly sales goals and maximize all revenue and growth opportunities for Tasting Table

Operations Assistant

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

If you have a strong interest in the digital publishing industry, a passionate love of food and a hunger to succeed in a start-up environment, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
The Operations Assistant will perform a variety of duties across our Operations department.
• Advertising Campaign Execution:
- Client outreach: acquiring collateral, writing advertorial copy, creating previews and receipts of placements, obtaining timely approvals, and invoicing and collecting payment
- Interdepartmental collaboration: coordinating sponsored events, sweepstakes, custom technology and any custom advertorial features
• Research and Analysis:
- Generating and monitoring advertising campaign reporting in Excel
- Analyzing metrics to determine ways of optimizing overall performance
• Customer Service Management:
- Overseeing Tasting Table's internal ticketing system
- Integrating consumer feedback applications on TastingTable.com
• Quality Assurance Maintenance:
- Creating and maintaining advertisement inventory (website/mobile) via DoubleClick for Publisher
- Technology product design and testing
- Identifying and troubleshooting any and all issues that affect the implementation of TT's digital publication

Qualifications:
- College degree required; recent graduates without professional experience are welcome
- Above all else, a high energy level is necessary
- Strong attention to detail, verging on OCD-like tendencies to recheck your work twice before becoming comfortable that the work is right
- Accurate and thorough
- Able to prioritize multiple streams of work without becoming overwhelmed
- Enjoy troubleshooting, researching and needling your way to a solution without tears

Spring & Summer Communications Intern

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

TastingTable.com, the daily email publication devoted to the best of food and drink culture, is looking for an energetic intern to work in our Communications & Events department at our New York City headquarters. This paid internship will offer exposure to the fast-paced world of a digital start-up. The intern will have a hand in the projects and tasks of the department including event production, public relations and social media. 

Potential interns should be willing to commit 20 hours per week in our Soho office. This position requires obsessive attention to detail, excellent research and writing skills and a positive, go-getter attitude. Familiarity with Google products and Excel is a plus. Motivation, resourcefulness and enthusiasm are musts: Much of the projects are time-sensitive, so organization and time-management skills are essential to maintain efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in execution of PR strategy including media list development and database management, drafting press materials and media monitoring
- Assist in the execution of social media strategy across multiple platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram)
- Participate in planning and execution of events in our Test Kitchen & Dining Room including vendor outreach, research, gift bag assembly and on-site event management. 
- Assist in the maintenance and management of our Test Kitchen including inventory and interfacing with our full time culinary staff. 
- Create event collateral in collaboration with TT graphic designers such as invitations, menus and signage.
- Administrative tasks such as scheduling, mailings and expense reporting
