Digital Ad Sales Planner

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an immediate opening for a Digital Ad Sales Planner in our SoHo office. In this role, you will assist our Digital Ad Sales team and help run day-to-day operations for our fast-growing food and drink media company. This is a perfect introduction to digital ad sales for someone who is willing to work hard and learn the ins and outs of the business. Candidates must have 1-2 years of work experience and priority will be given to applicants with that have prior experience in the media industry.

As a Digital Ad Sales Planner, you will work closely with our business development managers and our publisher on all aspects of the sales lifecycle, from lead generation to media plan and proposal development to tracking sold business with Tasting Table and beyond. You'll gain the skills necessary to understand a client's needs and requirements, craft a cunning proposal that fulfills those needs and convey Tasting Table's unique ability to deliver on that proposal.

Along the way you'll also become versed in the vocabulary and technical skills necessary to work in digital ad sales, and you'll begin to develop a network of colleagues and contacts.

Requirements:

Business Development Account Manager

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table is looking for a superstar account manager to join our growing advertising sales team. Our new teammate should be a self-motivated, outgoing, proven go-getter with a strong understanding of digital advertising. Must have a proven track record of client and agency outreach/meetings resulting in the sale of integrated marketing programs.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience selling integrated programs (more than just banners) with proven success
  • Experience working with New York automotive, fashion/beauty, and finance clients a plus
  • Motivated & smart with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communicator – great writer & presenter
  • Creative & strategic self-starter with the ability to connect with difficult-to-reach clients and build unique partnership ideas for them

Responsibilities:

Digital Analytics Lead

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in SoHo, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table is looking for an energetic new team member to work in our Product Department at our New York City headquarters. The company is laser focused on audience growth and is seeking a data-driven individual to draw actionable insights from web analytics (desktop, mobile, email, social, search) to optimize our online product & content strategy. A strong knowledge of Google Analytics and Excel is mandatory. This role is tasked with helping the company make smart, fast decisions to optimize potential for growth. Understanding of business goals for interpretation & communication of recommendations is key.

The position will work very closely with the following departments: audience development, editorial, marketing, product (including the DINE iOS app) and operations. Data, communication, passion and drive are key characteristics that will help the individual thrive in this environment.

This position requires obsessive attention to detail, excellent research ability and a positive, go-getter attitude. Motivation, resourcefulness and enthusiasm are musts: All of the projects are time-sensitive, so organization and time-management skills are essential to maintain efficiency. You will be working with engineers, therefore logic always prevails.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish & maintain clear, insightful reporting on the KPIs for Tasting Table as a whole, and individual departments.
  • Draw actionable insights from data in Google Analytics, Parsely, Lotame and other products to iterate and improve performance of all strategies and campaigns. Provide timely insight into the content mix performing in each channel; and work quickly to optimize that.
  • Hypothesize, structure and execute growth initiatives across platforms. Work with Audience Development for optimizing content syndication.
  • Establish efficiencies in reporting templates that enable you to quickly provide on-the-fly stats and reports as needed.
  • Work closely with the product & tech teams to ensure the site is tagged for accurate and meaningful analytics. Ensure the same for all future product developments.
  • Assist the channel marketers (Email & Social) with insight requests as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in analysis for data-driven content and/or product strategies for a B2C media brand.
  • Understand and have executed campaigns utilizing critical paths, conversion events, segmentation types, referring channels, marketing campaigns, and specific attribute correlations.
  • Share results from tested hypothesis to provide recommendations for improving specific sales/marketing campaigns, or platform KPIs across the Tasting Table brand.
  • Strong communication skills: able to clearly explain findings in a understandable way.
  • Experience with Lotame, Parsely, and DFP preferred. Javascript knowledge is also preferred.
  • Provide analysis to gain insights into user behavior, propose ideas to test hypothesis which will enhance user experience or drive incremental revenue, and provide deep dive/root cause analysis on testing results.

Content Studio Editor

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an immediate opening for an experienced editor/writer to work out of our New York City office. The Content Studio Editor will be responsible for creating engaging, premium, editorially driven emails, features, content packages and videos that align with clients' marketing objectives. The role works in tandem with our Senior Content Producer and involves collaboration with our editorial, video, marketing, operations and sales departments. The editor should have a clear understanding of the Tasting Table editorial voice and have extensive food and lifestyle writing and editing experience at a major publication.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce and manage the creative process for all partner content campaigns, including brainstorming, researching, writing and/or assigning advertorial/dedicated emails, top editing, managing client revisions and analyzing performance metrics for optimization.
  • Pitch, vet and write original, high-engagement, on-brand partner content (including video concepts, scripts, hubs, social copy, articles, infographics and slideshows) that is consistent with the Tasting Table style and sensibility.
  • Repackage Tasting Table archived content into dynamic, clickable features with native brand placements.
  • Ensure we're meeting client expectations and execution deadlines.
  • Follow industry trends in both editorial and branded content.
  • Participate in content studio and editorial team meetings, brainstorms, etc. as required.
  • Manage and recruit a network of contacts, freelancers, publicists, tipsters and industry friends who help to create intriguing content and keep you abreast of the coolest, newest happenings in the food-and-drink space.

 

Qualifications:

Assistant Photo Editor

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Photo Editor in our New York City office. The Assistant Photo Editor will work closely with the Photo Editor and Editorial team to produce and source high-quality photography for our website, email newsletter, social media outlets, branded content partners and DINE by Tasting Table app. This role requires both a knowledge of studio photography and Photoshop, as well as the ability to quickly source assets for our fast-paced news articles. It will simultaneously require both high-level creative problem solving alongside meticulous organization. Experience in food photography is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Shooting and processing a high volume of photos for multiple departments
  • Sourcing art across platforms and properly identifying and implementing licensing and permission rules
  • Generating new editorially minded ideas that keep our photography fresh and cutting edge
  • Producing special/branded content packages of the highest quality
  • Maintaining a knowledge of what's happening in the food media, food photography and photography tech worlds
  • Organizing a database of props, surfaces and equipment, and sourcing new items regularly; must have an eye for color and texture, and a finger on the pulse of tabletop styling
  • Generating ideas to help improve and expand upon our processes and organization, and taking initiative to be constantly improving our department
  • Participating in editorial team meetings, brainstorms, tastings, etc., as required

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of food photography experience at a publication

Senior Writer

Senior Writer
Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

TastingTable.com has an immediate opening for an experienced writer to work out of our New York City office. The Senior Writer will be responsible for producing national epicurean content (writing both features and shorter stories, sourcing artwork/photography as needed, etc.) for our web site, social media channels and daily email newsletters. Working alongside our Editorial Director and Deputy Editor, the writer will be responsible for shaping and facilitating engaging content across all of our verticals (dining, wine, cocktails, cooking, entertaining, culinary travel and more). Please note that this role requires extensive food writing experience at a major publication.

Responsibilities:

  • Pitching and writing multiple Tasting Table stories per day across all of our verticals
  • Repackaging existing Tasting Table content into dynamic, clickable features
  • Producing social media-minded content with the goal to drive engagement and page views
  • Monitoring performance to determine which types of content work best, and producing stories accordingly
  • Participating in editorial team meetings, brainstorms, tastings, etc. as required
  • Managing a network of contacts, publicists, tipsters and industry friends who help to keep you abreast of the coolest, newest happenings in the food and drink space
  • Produce special/branded content packages as required
