Content Studio Editor

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an immediate opening for an experienced editor/writer to work out of our New York City office. The Content Studio Editor will be responsible for creating engaging, premium, editorially driven emails, features, content packages and videos that align with clients' marketing objectives. The role works in tandem with our Senior Content Producer and involves collaboration with our editorial, video, marketing, operations and sales departments. The editor should have a clear understanding of the Tasting Table editorial voice and have extensive food and lifestyle writing and editing experience at a major publication.


  • Produce and manage the creative process for all partner content campaigns, including brainstorming, researching, writing and/or assigning advertorial/dedicated emails, top editing, managing client revisions and analyzing performance metrics for optimization.
  • Pitch, vet and write original, high-engagement, on-brand partner content (including video concepts, scripts, hubs, social copy, articles, infographics and slideshows) that is consistent with the Tasting Table style and sensibility.
  • Repackage Tasting Table archived content into dynamic, clickable features with native brand placements.
  • Ensure we're meeting client expectations and execution deadlines.
  • Follow industry trends in both editorial and branded content.
  • Participate in content studio and editorial team meetings, brainstorms, etc. as required.
  • Manage and recruit a network of contacts, freelancers, publicists, tipsters and industry friends who help to create intriguing content and keep you abreast of the coolest, newest happenings in the food-and-drink space.


  • 5+ years experience in digital media at a food and/or lifestyle publication.
  • Proven experience producing a high volume of food and/or lifestyle related content.
  • Intelligent, agile writer who can write witty headlines and copy.
  • Creative content packaging skills.
  • Familiarity/experience with integrated/branded content is preferred, but not required.
  • High taste level and ability to know a great idea when you see it.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Graceful under pressure and able to juggle numerous projects at once.
  • Excited about digital content trends and the latest content marketing techniques.
  • Mac savvy, a basic knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO best practices and traffic-driving know-how.

Food Editor

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an immediate opening for an experienced food editor to work out of our New York City office. The food editor will be primarily responsible for developing, testing, writing and editing recipes for publication on our web site and in our daily emails. Working alongside our Editorial Director and Deputy Editor, the food editor will be responsible for shaping and facilitating engaging epicurean content across all of our verticals, including dining, wine, cocktails, cooking, entertaining and culinary travel.


  • Developing and testing recipes for Tasting Table's email newsletter and website (both editorial and branded content studio)
  • Writing and editing recipes in TT editorial style
  • Communicating with chefs, publicists and cookbook authors to procure and adapt recipes for publication
  • Coordinating with the editorial/video staff to order and prep food for video shoots
  • Working closely with the photo team and styling food for in-house photo shoots
  • Managing the in-house Test Kitchen, including the ordering of ingredients, storage, organization, etc.
  • Participating in editorial team meetings, brainstorms, tastings, etc. as required
  • Managing a network of contacts, publicists, tipsters and industry friends who help to keep you abreast of the coolest, newest happenings in the food and drink space
  • Produce special content packages as required

  • At least 5 years recipe development/testing experience
  • At least 5 years professional cooking experience (test kitchen or restaurant)

Operations Assistant

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an opening for an entry-level Operations Assistant. If you have a strong interest in the digital publishing industry, a passionate love of food and a hunger to succeed in a start-up environment, we want to hear from you.

The Operations Assistant will perform a variety of duties across our Operations department.

Advertising Campaign Execution:

  • Work with advertising clients to acquire collateral, write advertorial copy, create previews and receipts of placements, obtain timely approvals, and invoice / report on a monthly basis and collect payment
  • Work interdepartmentally to coordinate sponsored events, sweepstakes, custom technology and any custom partner content features


Research and Analysis:

  • Moderate and optimize ad campaign performance
  • Generate delivery reports and provide KPI metrics for different types of ad campaigns


Customer Service Management:

  • Provide feedback loops with appropriate departments from our users


Quality Assurance Maintenance:

  • Test new products and features on Tasting Table features before they go live for users
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues that affect Tasting Table's platforms



  • College degree required; recent graduates without professional experience are welcome
  • Great communication/interpersonal skills--written and verbal
  • Fun, outgoing, good-humored and able to work with a variety of personalities (who may not be as fun, outgoing and good-humored as you are)

Digital Performance Analyst

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table ( is looking for a Digital Performance Analyst to join our media brand in New York City. As part of Tasting Table's Operations team, the Digital Performance Analyst will participate in various operational and audience development functions across our enterprise and draw actionable insights from web analytics (desktop, mobile, email, social, search) to optimize on-going advertising campaign performance and overall Tasting Table growth strategy.

As a critical member of our Operations team, this position is laser-focused on ensuring that our advertising clients see the best results possible from their investment with Tasting Table and that our community of food lovers has the best content experience possible. The Digital Performance Analyst must be able to interpret data from a variety of sources, communicate recommendations timely and take decisive action on the insights uncovered from the data. Above all else, the Digital Performance Analyst is able to generate new ideas, understands how to test those hypotheses, then test some more. This role enables all Tasting Table team members to make smart decisions quickly.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role will work closely with editorial, marketing, audience development and sales. Communication, analytical skill and drive are key characteristics that will ensure success. A sense of humor and generally positive attitude won't hurt either.


  • Analyzing ad campaign performance and identifying opportunities for optimizations
  • Establishing and maintaining clear, insightful reporting on key performance metrics for complex ad campaigns
  • Analyzing different website growth strategies (including but limited to Google Search, social content and email newsletter changes) and identifying opportunities for optimizations
  • Work closely with the tech team to ensure the site is tagged for accurate and meaningful data and analytics in third party tools
  • Work closely with the tech team to determine algorithms for data interpretation and report generation



  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years experience in analysis with online media preferred
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills; Advanced Excel skills, a plus
  • Strong communication skills; able to clearly explain findings in a understandable way
  • Strong math skills; able to create projections/estimates on historical data
  • Advance in all things Google; experience with Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools, a must
  • Experience with SQL and other data analytics / visualization tools
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
