Digital Performance Analyst

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table (http://TastingTable.com) is looking for a Digital Performance Analyst to join our media brand in New York City. As part of Tasting Table's Operations team, the Digital Performance Analyst will participate in various operational and audience development functions across our enterprise and draw actionable insights from web analytics (desktop, mobile, email, social, search) to optimize on-going advertising campaign performance and overall Tasting Table growth strategy.

As a critical member of our Operations team, this position is laser-focused on ensuring that our advertising clients see the best results possible from their investment with Tasting Table and that our community of food lovers has the best content experience possible. The Digital Performance Analyst must be able to interpret data from a variety of sources, communicate recommendations timely and take decisive action on the insights uncovered from the data. Above all else, the Digital Performance Analyst is able to generate new ideas, understands how to test those hypotheses, then test some more. This role enables all Tasting Table team members to make smart decisions quickly.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role will work closely with editorial, marketing, audience development and sales. Communication, analytical skill and drive are key characteristics that will ensure success. A sense of humor and generally positive attitude won't hurt either.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing ad campaign performance and identifying opportunities for optimizations
  • Establishing and maintaining clear, insightful reporting on key performance metrics for complex ad campaigns
  • Analyzing different website growth strategies (including but limited to Google Search, social content and email newsletter changes) and identifying opportunities for optimizations
  • Work closely with the tech team to ensure the site is tagged for accurate and meaningful data and analytics in third party tools
  • Work closely with the tech team to determine algorithms for data interpretation and report generation

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years experience in analysis with online media preferred
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills; Advanced Excel skills, a plus
  • Strong communication skills; able to clearly explain findings in a understandable way
  • Strong math skills; able to create projections/estimates on historical data
  • Advance in all things Google; experience with Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools, a must
  • Experience with SQL and other data analytics / visualization tools
  • Highly organized and detail oriented

Brand Experiences Manager

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an immediate opening for an experienced events manager to join our Brand Experiences team in our New York City office. Reporting into the Brand Experiences Director, this manager will work collaboratively with sales and marketing to lead the execution and measurement of integrated marketing activations, brand events (including TT's tentpole The Lobster Rumble) and partner promotions. Responsibilities include budget management, day-to-day client management and consumer marketing efforts (PR, barter, social, etc). This full-time position requires a high degree of organizational and project management skills and a positive, pro-active attitude with obsessive attention to detail. Please note, this role requires a minimum of 4 years of event/project management experience. Motivation, resourcefulness and enthusiasm are musts.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day aspects of sponsored events/programs including: logistics, budgets, contract negotiation, restaurant recruitment, chef talent recruitment, ticket sales, event promotion and marketing, social media, vendor relations, sponsor coordination, on-site production, digital/printed collateral and post project recaps/surveys
  • Liaise with sponsors to ensure all sponsorship benefits are being delivered
  • Ensure brand consistency and quality control across all programming (both company and sponsored)
  • Work with multiple TT departments to coordinate event-related social media strategy, art and tech elements as required by a program

Photo Intern

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table is looking for a photo intern in New York City. This paid internship will offer opportunities to work alongside the photo team, performing image research, helping to brainstorm content and assisting on shoots. Potential interns should be willing to commit to coming to the Tasting Table office in Soho two days per week for a duration of at least three months. Interested candidates do not need to be students in order to apply, but Tasting Table will work with college students on the process of doing the internship for school credit. Previous experience in publishing/photography is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform photo research and call in images for articles, roundups and city guides
  • Assist on in-house photo shoots
  • Process, retouch and color-correct images using Photoshop and upload images to CMS
  • Provide general assistance to the photo department

 

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Photoshop
  • Able to quickly research and find photos via Flickr
  • Detail-oriented, web savvy and highly organized
  • Excited and knowledgeable about the world of food and drink

Social Media Intern

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table is seeking a social media intern in New York City. This paid internship will offer opportunities to experience the entire social media production process.

Potential interns should be willing to commit to coming to the Tasting Table office in Soho at least 20-30 hours per week (Monday through Friday) for a duration of at least three months. This position requires obsessive attention to detail as well as strong writing and analytical skills.

The intern should have good knowledge of the New York City and national food scenes.

Maturity and motivation are musts: Most of the work will be done independently, thus organization and time management skills are essential.

Interested candidates do not need to be students in order to apply, but Tasting Table will work with college students on the process of doing the internship for school credit.

Responsibilities:

  • Organizing, writing, scheduling and engaging with content for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and Tumblr
  • Special social media projects
  • Analyzing data regarding social media posts

Brand Experiences Intern

TastingTable.com is looking for an energetic intern to work in our Brand Experiences department at our New York City headquarters. This paid internship will offer exposure to the fast-paced world of a digital start-up. Each intern will have a hand in the projects and tasks of the department including event production, public relations and social media.


Potential interns should be willing to commit to at least 20 hours per week in our Soho office. This position requires obsessive attention to detail, excellent research and writing skills and a positive, go-getter attitude. Familiarity with Google products and Excel is a plus. Motivation, resourcefulness and enthusiasm are musts: Much of the projects are time-sensitive, so organization and time-management skills are essential to maintain efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in planning and execution of events in our Test Kitchen & Dining Room including vendor outreach, research, gift bag assembly and on-site event management
  • Assist in the maintenance and management of our Test Kitchen including inventory and interfacing with our full time culinary staff
  • Assist in the execution of our large scale events including inventory management and communication with vendors
  • Create event collateral in collaboration with TT graphic designers such as invitations, menus and signage
  • Administrative tasks such as scheduling, mailings and expense reporting
