Senior Graphic Designer

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an immediate opening for an experienced graphic designer to work in our New York office. This role is responsible for delivering innovative, original and creative visual solutions for TT Editorial, Content Studio, Marketing/Sales and Brand Experiences teams. This is a role for a designer who wants to create best-in-class art across a wide variety of mediums and projects and works well under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will understand TT's premium brand vision, be an expert in digital and mobile-centric design and continually come up with new ways to improve our creative.

Responsibilities:

  • Create lush, original and best-in-class visual solutions across all of Tasting Table's departments
  • Concept, design and execute infographics, illustrations, video art, co-branded landing pages, storyboards, custom suites of ad units, new article templates, typography treatments, event collateral, visual displays, etc.
  • Collaborate with Editorial, Marketing, Content Studio, Product, Brand Experiences and Audience Development teams to create art that reflects the desired aesthetic, specs and requirements of the projects
  • Quickly turn around multiple daily and weekly assignments in order to meet deadlines
  • Establish and apply art direction on all aspects of execution and lead creative discussions
  • Ensure all design is mobile compatible
  • Translate marketing objectives and brand strategies into on-brand creative execution
  • Research new design ideas and trends
  • Source stock photography and retouch images

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of graphic design experience with an established digital company
    • Understanding of UX/UI design experience is a must to ensure seamless asset handoff to the technology team
  • Expertise in identity, typography, layout, illustration and mobile design
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating creative executions across social, web, mobile, email and print.
  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc) and Keynote experience is a plus.
  • Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail
  • Ability to convey ideas and solutions both verbally and visually

Brand Partnership Director

Tasting Table is looking for a superstar account director to join our growing advertising sales team. Our new teammate should be a self-motivated, outgoing, proven go-getter with a strong understanding of digital advertising. Must have a proven track record of client and agency outreach/meetings resulting in the sale of integrated marketing programs.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience selling integrated programs (more than just banners) with proven success
  • Experience working with New York automotive, fashion/beauty, and finance clients a plus
  • Motivated & smart with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communicator – great writer & presenter

Digital Ad Sales Planner

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an immediate opening for a Digital Ad Sales Planner in our SoHo office. In this role, you will assist our Digital Ad Sales team and help run day-to-day operations for our fast-growing food and drink media company. This is a perfect introduction to digital ad sales for someone who is willing to work hard and learn the ins and outs of the business. Candidates must have 1-2 years of work experience and priority will be given to applicants with that have prior experience in the media industry.

As a Digital Ad Sales Planner, you will work closely with our business development managers and our publisher on all aspects of the sales lifecycle, from lead generation to media plan and proposal development to tracking sold business with Tasting Table and beyond. You’ll gain the skills necessary to understand a client’s needs and requirements, craft a cunning proposal that fulfills those needs and convey Tasting Table’s unique ability to deliver on that proposal.

Along the way you’ll also become versed in the vocabulary and technical skills necessary to work in digital ad sales, and you’ll begin to develop a network of colleagues and contacts.

Editor

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table has an immediate opening for an experienced editor/writer to work out of our New York City office. The editor will be responsible for assigning and editing national epicurean content for our website, social channels and daily emails, as well as writing features and shorter stories. Working alongside our editorial director and managing editor, this editor will be responsible for managing an extensive contributor network to shape and facilitate engaging content across all of our verticals (dining, wine, cocktails, cooking, entertaining, culinary travel and more). Please note that this role requires food writing and editing experience at a major publication, as well as a mastery of using analytics to optimize editorial content.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing a network of contributors who are able to pitch, write and produce high-quality, useful epicurean content on a daily basis
  • Assessing pitches, assigning stories and managing all aspects of the editing process from ideation through publication
  • Working closely with the managing editor to monitor and analyze performance to determine winning content, and producing stories accordingly
  • Top-editing freelance content into a consistent Tasting Table style and sensibility
  • Pitching and writing Tasting Table features across all of our verticals
  • Repackaging existing Tasting Table content into dynamic, clickable features

Digital Analytics Lead

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in SoHo, Manhattan, New York

Tasting Table is looking for an energetic new team member to work in our Product Department at our New York City headquarters. The company is laser focused on audience growth and is seeking a data-driven individual to draw actionable insights from web analytics (desktop, mobile, email, social, search) to optimize our online product & content strategy. A strong knowledge of Google Analytics and Excel is mandatory. This role is tasked with helping the company make smart, fast decisions to optimize potential for growth. Understanding of business goals for interpretation & communication of recommendations is key.

The position will work very closely with the following departments: audience development, editorial, marketing, product (including the DINE iOS app) and operations. Data, communication, passion and drive are key characteristics that will help the individual thrive in this environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish & maintain clear, insightful reporting on the KPIs for Tasting Table as a whole, and individual departments.
  • Draw actionable insights from data in Google Analytics, Parsely, Lotame and other products to iterate and improve performance of all strategies and campaigns. Provide timely insight into the content mix performing in each channel; and work quickly to optimize that.
  • Hypothesize, structure and execute growth initiatives across platforms. Work with Audience Development for optimizing content syndication.
  • Establish efficiencies in reporting templates that enable you to quickly provide on-the-fly stats and reports as needed.
  • Work closely with the product & tech teams to ensure the site is tagged for accurate and meaningful analytics. Ensure the same for all future product developments.
  • Assist the channel marketers (Email & Social) with insight requests as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in analysis for data-driven content and/or product strategies for a B2C media brand.
  • Understand and have executed campaigns utilizing critical paths, conversion events, segmentation types, referring channels, marketing campaigns, and specific attribute correlations.
  • Share results from tested hypothesis to provide recommendations for improving specific sales/marketing campaigns, or platform KPIs across the Tasting Table brand.
  • Strong communication skills: able to clearly explain findings in a understandable way.
  • Experience with Lotame, Parsely, and DFP preferred. Javascript knowledge is also preferred.

Partnerships Intern

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York 

Tasting Table has an opening for a part-time Partnerships Intern in New York City. This position will offer opportunities to experience the entire digital marketing and partnership execution process to grow Tasting Table’s traffic, email subscriber base and overall brand footprint. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain a strong foundation in tactical marketing and business development and relationship management skills.

The Partnerships Intern's primary responsibility will be to assist Tasting Table in its efforts to develop and maintain third party partnerships with the main purpose of acquiring email subscribers. The Partnerships Intern will have the opportunity to identify and build relationships with brands that have aligned goals with Tasting Table, execute barter relationships and assist in managing an influencer program with tastemakers in the food, beverage and lifestyle space.

Potential candidates should be willing to commit to coming to the Tasting Table office in Soho at least 30 hours Monday through Friday for a duration of up to 6 months.

This position requires an obsessive attention to detail, excellent research and writing skills with a positive, go-getter attitude. Motivation, resourcefulness and enthusiasm are musts as many of the projects are time-sensitive, so prioritization and time-management skills are essential to maintain efficiency.

  • Support the workflow of marketing campaigns, both for Tasting Table and brand partners, to ensure they are executed in a timely and accurate manner

Brand Experiences Intern

Each intern will have a hand in the projects and tasks of the department including event production, public relations and social media.

Potential interns should be willing to commit to at least 20 hours per week in our Soho office. This position requires obsessive attention to detail, excellent research and writing skills and a positive, go-getter attitude. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Google products and Excel and incredibly resourceful. Much of the projects are time-sensitive, so organization and time-management skills are essential to maintain efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in planning and execution of events in our Test Kitchen & Dining Room including vendor outreach, research, gift bag assembly and on-site event management
  • Assist in the execution of our large scale events including inventory management and communication with vendors
  • Create event collateral in collaboration with TT graphic designers such as invitations, menus and signage

Video Intern

Location: Tasting Table Headquarters in Soho, Manhattan, New York
Desired Start Date: Immediately

Tasting Table is looking for an intern to work in the video department at our New York City headquarters. This paid internship offers the opportunity to participate in editorial meetings, assist on video shoots, both in-house and on location, and to create original content for the website. The intern will also be asked to help with asset management, video processing and music selection for our in-house content. The ideal candidate will also have experience shooting and editing digital video content.


Applicants should be ready and willing to commit 20-30 hours per week for a minimum of three months. Interested candidates do not need to be students in order to apply, but Tasting Table will work with college students to receive school credit.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist on video shoots, both in-house and on location
  • Assist in pre- and post-production
  • Support the workflow of the video department, including retrieving ingredients for shoots, transporting gear to and from the sets and other tasks as necessary
