Integrated Marketing Manager

The Integrated Marketing Manager will join Tasting Table's marketing team and play a key role in developing and maintaining integrated marketing materials, digital initiatives, marketing promotions and programs for assigned advertising campaigns. The position of Integrated Marketing Manager combines creative "big" idea skills with analytical/number crunching skills.

Responsibilities:

-Project managing work flow of marketing products and materials both for Tasting Table and brand partners from conception to completion
-Managing copy writing for all advertising and marketing programs
-Managing monthly marketing budgets to meet or exceed growth targets within prescribed CPA ranges
-Preparing and presenting marketing KPI reports to management
-Monitoring and optimizing ongoing marketing campaigns
-Negotiating pricing/IO with publishers/websites
-Identifying non-paid (barter) partnerships with like-minded digital properties
-Developing multi-channel, multi-part partnerships with like-minded brands
-Generating program ideas for marketing and advertising programs and products

Qualifications:

-3 to 4 years of digital marketing, media buying/planning or related experience required
-Four-year college degree required
-Must be an expert computer user
-Must be proficient with Facebook Advertising, Google Ad Words and Google Analytics
-Knowledge of the digital food and drink space required. Must understand the epicurean/lifestyle landscape online and know where Tasting Table should be marketing itself
-Must be a number-cruncher, proficient in Excel and at ease with the spreadsheets and concepts required to manage a marketing budget, calculate CPAs, and communicate with both ad planners and management
-Excellent communication skills, including perfect grammar/punctuation/diction when writing copy
-Proficiency with Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus but not required

Freelance Graphic Designer

TastingTable.com, the daily email devoted to the best of food and drink culture, is looking for a freelance graphic designer (independent / 1099) to work on our digital and print design projects. The ideal freelance designer will be a creative professional who understands Tasting Table's design/mood/brand feel and is able to create new graphical treatments and concepts within our vocabulary. The freelancer will work independently under his or her own direction in order to deliver high-quality design on-time, on-budget and as-described. The ability to take verbal and written design direction, change requests, etc. from concept to reality is key for this work. The designer can be located anywhere but must be on EST to make collaboration effective during the NYC work day.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in design and execution of projects managed by a Tastign Table teammate using our online project management platform (Basecamp)
- Create new graphical assets and work with existing assets within the parameters of our brand's current look and feel. Typical assignments include:
- we banners
- Facebook tabs/forms
- web landing pages
- web microsites
- visual updates to existing web pages
- mobile banners
- website icons and buttons
- downloadable PDFs
- print creative such as menus, invitations, stationary and signage

Qualifications:
- Mastery in Adobe CS 4 or 5 Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience with web technologies:
- HTML, CSS a must
- JQUERY, Javascript and PHP a bonus
- Strong sense of design, layout, typography and branding for the web
- Clear understanding of information architecture
- Detail oriented and well organized
- Excited to iterate through design concepts to yield the best graphic solution
- Expert knowledge of current web design trends and techniques a bonus

Advertising Assistant

TastingTable.com, the daily email devoted to the best of food and drink culture, has an opening for an Advertising Assistant. If you have a strong interest in the digital publishing industry & advertising sales and a hunger to succeed in a start-up environment, we want to hear from you. The right candidate will prove him/herself quickly as a go-getting asset to the growing advertising sales team with career potential to move into an account manager position.

Responsibilities:

The assistant will perform a variety of duties within our advertising sales department, working closely with our lead account manager on the following tasks:

Develop media plans and translate them into MediaVisor, Atlas and other third-party advertising systems
Collaborate with the operations department on ad campaign set-up process
Compile information about key accounts to help the account manager prepare for meetings
Help brainstorm sellable ideas for advertisers
Research competitive programs to help stay on-top of industry trends
Assist in general office tasks (travel, meeting collateral, etc)
Other responsibilities as required to maintain the general health of our start-up

Qualifications:
College degree required
2-3 years professional work experience in any field
Above all else, a high energy level is required
Strong attention to detail
Accurate and thorough - able to prioritize multiple streams of work without becoming overwhelmed
Great communication/interpersonal skills--written and verbal
Great with computers (Mac experience preferred), including word processing (Google Docs and/or Word), spreadsheets (Google Docs and/or Excel), and general Internet savvy

Editor

TastingTable.com, the daily email devoted to the best of food and drink culture, has an opening for an experienced editor in its New York City headquarters. The editor will assist the editor in chief in shaping and facilitating editorial voice and style for all stories and recipes. This will involve top-editing duties and an eagle-eyed attention to detail. The editor will also be responsible for researching and writing stories for the New York and National editions of Tasting Table. If you have a strong interest in the digital publishing industry, a passion for food, a love for the written word and a hunger to succeed in a start-up environment, Tasting Table wants to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Top-editing stories from across all of Tasting Table's local and national editions
  • Top-editing recipes, all of which are tested by Tasting Table staff
  • Working with Tasting Table's national editor to help conceive, research and execute stories and features to run in the National edition
  • Working alongside the other members of Tasting Table's editorial team to keep the editorial content accurate, fresh and exciting
  • Managing a network of contacts, publicists, freelancers,and tipsters to feed you great content
  • Researching and writing stories for the New York edition of Tasting Table
  • Managing editorial projects as needed
  • Representing the publication as a member of the editorial team
  • Evangelizing our brand by telling everyone and anyone who will listen about our publication
  • Contributing any brainstorming required to support all of the Tasting Table teams/departments in pursuit of creating and maintaining a high-quality digital epicurean brand
