Cocktail recipes to make now
Yesterday, we brought you five of our favorite tested-and-approved recipes from the past year. Today, a little liquid culture for end-of-the-year imbibing:
Cactus Old-Fashioned: Take a cue from the inventive bartenders at Nolita hot spot Rubirosa and stir together this smoky take on the Old-Fashioned, which employs both rye and mezcal.
Screaming Greenie: Ignore the weather, pull out your blender and give this vodka-and-absinthe-loaded slushie a spin.
The World's End: Royal Rose syrups, which come in a range of flavors--from raspberry to cardamom-clove--make all of our cocktailing easier. Try the cardamom-clove syrup in this spicy white-rum daiquiri.
Ten Winners: If you haven't started shaking and mixing your way through our 10 recipes for NYC's Best Cocktails of 2011, hop to it!
The Golden Hour: Toast the New Year with flutes of gin, Aperol and sparkling wine--made all the more special with the addition of candied kumquats.
