The TT Official Drink of Summer

Mix beer with Byrrh, just like Jim Meehan

| Recipes | Editorial Staff

We test and taste every recipe we publish. While we collaborate with a lot of talented chefs, we adapt and tinker with everything in our test kitchen. (It smells really good in here). Our goal is to make sure every recipe works as well in your home kitchen as it does in ours. So go on, get cooking with confidence.

To toast his new role at Tasting Table, PDT mixologist Jim Meehan mixed up a big cold pitcher of wheat beer, cassis and an old-school French apéritif called Byrrh. He calls the fizzy, sunset-colored punch a Beer Cassis. We call it the Official TT Drink of Summer.

If you get the ingredients nice and cold before mixing, consider adding ice to the individual glasses instead of the pitcher.
