French photographer and author Jean-Pierre Gabriel has a passion for Southeast Asian food.

For three years he traveled all over Thailand, collecting traditional regional recipes and unfamiliar techniques to produce a beautiful cookbook.

From dry fish curry to eggs cooked in banana leaves and hot beef curry with noodles, Thailand: The Cookbook (Phaidon) is a snapshot of Gabriel's exciting journey--a story told in 500 recipes.

We got an early peek at the book and at Gabriel's gorgeous photography of Thai streets, palaces and markets. Now we can't wait to get cooking.
