Game On!
Your Game Day party MVP: Avocados from Mexico
Here’s the one strategic maneuver you’ll want to keep in mind for the Big Game: Avocados from Mexico.
For a resounding game-day win, stock up on avocados from the land where they originated and make them the backbone of your snack spread.
Guacamole is a Game Day must. Start with classic Mexican guacamole--with lime, minced onion and a touch of jalapeño (see the recipe). Then go beyond classic: Add Mexican chorizo and chipotles in adobo for a deliciously savory, spicy rendition (see the recipe), or layer the avocados with white beans, feta cheese and tomatoes for an updated, international version of seven-layer dip (see the recipe).
Feeling saucy? You can even spike your guacamole with tequila (see the recipe).
Use rich, creamy Avocados from Mexico beyond the guacamole bowl, too: Top burgers, chili, hot dogs and salads with a sprinkle of diced avocado or slices (see tailgating recipes here). Or try a Mexican classic like cóctel de camarón (Mexican shrimp cocktail), a colorful dish of shrimp and avocado tossed in punchy chipotle-garlic sauce (see the recipe).
Stick with Avocados from Mexico for Game Day recipes and you’re sure to score big.
