Make Earth Day count with our get-involved guide
To outsiders, our city is one long, winding concrete landscape. But we know better.
Every corner of the Southland has its own farmers' market brimming with locally grown produce. We have pockets of lush gardens, and more plots are being planted every day. There are hiking trails hidden in the hills, and spectacular beaches for watching the waves.
Still, most of us only get a drive-by look at the L.A.'s green side, so we're giving Earth Day extra attention this year. To make it easy, we've compiled a helpful guide (click here to download) to some local volunteer opportunities and events.
Pay back the planet, whether it's planting an edible garden or biking for that afternoon margarita instead of driving. The Earth will thank you later.
