As such, we wholeheartedly endorse Whole Life Kitchens' all-natural dark chocolate brownie mix ($10 for 13.5 ounces).

Sweetened with only organic coconut sugar, the brownies have a lower glycemic count than traditional versions. Additionally, the mix uses extra-brute, high-quality European cocoa powder, resulting in a richer brownie, as well as natural vanilla and non-GMO cornstarch.

We made the mix with coconut oil rather than butter, and the dense, fudge-like brownies had a tinge of both caramel and sweet coconut flavor, making them more complex than the usual from-the-box treats.
