TT Test Kitchen Tip: First made in the 17th century in Holland, Genever is the slightly sweeter and less potent forefather of gin (which works equally well in this cocktail).
Yield: 1 cocktail
1 cup boiling water
2 bags of black tea
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 ounces Genever
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
¾ teaspoon finely grated ginger
