Jalapeño Simple Syrup
Recipe adapted from Jacob Kent, Viktor & Spoils, New York
Yield: 1 cup
- INGREDIENTS
1 cup granulated sugar
1 jalapeño, cut lengthwise, seeds removed
DIRECTIONS
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and 1 cup water and heat until the sugar dissolves. Add the jalapeño and let sit for 1 hour or overnight. Strain the simple syrup through a fine mesh sieve and store in the refrigerator until using.
