Baby, It's Cold Outside
Take the chill off with our winter favorites
Winter is a season for committed cooking, a time of soups, stews, hearty vegetables and long braises.
To that end, we've compiled 20 chill-thawing recipes from some of the country's best chefs, each of which was originally published in our Chefs' Recipes edition.
Dip into bubbling French-onion fondue and soul-warming pork rillons. Then dig into spiced squash bisque, sweet onion mac-and-cheese and chicken braised with apricots and olives. But be sure to leave room for a salted-caramel budino or an inspired chocolate cake flavored with hot-chocolate mix.
We've also added three winter-worthy cocktails from Tasting Table's Top Shelf edition, including the Clockwork Orange, a gin-and-whiskey concoction laced with chocolate-chile bitters and a sprinkle of freshly grated nutmeg--just the kind of spirit to take the edge off a cold winter night.
Just as in our 2011 Fall Favorites digital book, our 2012 Winter Collection digital book is free to download and is available as a digital book or a PDF.
Your winter cravings are about to be satiated.
