On Thursday, September 24th, New Orleans-based, Tel Aviv-born chef Alon Shaya served an inventive Southern twist on Israeli cuisine at the Tasting Table Test Kitchen in Soho. This feast tied together New Orleans and Tel Aviv cuisines. Dishes included boudin "cotechino" with his mom's charoset, lamb shanks with figs, whipped feta and mustard green tabbouleh, and kanafeh "cannoli" with Poirier's sugarcane syrup.
