How To Make A Canebrake Cocktail | Tasting Table Recipe

Although amari are often drank as post-meal digestifs, Mattias Hägglund of Richmond's Heritage combines Chartreuse and apple brandy with the Italian herbal liqueur to make a cocktail that won't let you put down that glass.

Ingredients
  • ¾ ounce Amaro Montenegro
  • ¾ ounce yellow Chartreuse
  • 1½ ounces apple brandy (such as Laird's Old Apple Brandy)
  • 1 dash The Bitter Truth Old Time Aromatic Bitters
  • Ice
  • Lemon twist, for garnish
Directions
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the amaro, yellow Chartreuse, apple brandy and bitters. Fill the shaker with ice. Stir until well chilled, about 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe, garnish with a lemon twist and serve.
