THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT.

London's Yotam Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi may be the original vegetable magicians.

The duo can even make broccoli otherworldly.

As they say in the newly released American version of Ottolenghi: The Cookbook, "If there's a dish that's become synonymous with Ottolenghi, second only to our meringues, it is [the broccoli]. Broccoli is a boring vegetable, and you do need a magic touch to bring it to life."

You can taste ten of the duo's most famous–and magicaldishes on Friday, October 18, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tasting Table readers are invited to join Ottolenghi and Tamimi in our Test Kitchen & Dining Room in Soho for an exclusive, intimate cocktail party and book signing ($60 plus tax; purchase a ticket here).

Ottolenghi: The Cookbook

You'll get to sample (without the trans-Atlantic flight) cauliflower-cumin fritters, sweet potato galettes and apple and olive oil cake with maple icing (see the full menu here), along with unlimited cocktails, beer and wine.

Guests will get to mix and mingle with Ottolenghi and Tamimi, then take home a signed copy of the cookbook (retail $35).

To get you in just the right cruciferous mood, we've snagged the punchy recipe for the infamous Grilled Broccoli with Chile and Garlic (get the recipe).
