- Expert communication skills are vital, both verbal and written. Must be able to translate nontechnical requirements from internal product owners into SDLC collateral, like functional specs
- Sufficient understanding of the vocabularies used in web design, coding/development, testing, etc. to proficiently negotiate among developers and designers
- Updated familiarity with the coolest things currently happening in web design; this role will actively participate in product brainstorming sessions and will constantly suggest enhancements/extensions to our current products
- Experience with data management/analytics preferred
- Proud geek or card-carrying nerd preferred. Condescending know-it-alls not welcome
TT tech highlights, to help you understand the opportunity:
- Entire tech back end (Java) is custom-built and owned by TT; our system integrates all core business functions, including member list management, TastingTable.com CMS, email send service (via a direct-to-internet MTA), and ad-serving facility, along with custom reporting capabilities
- Tech is maintained and extended as required by our third-party tech development partner, which works closely with TT on a day-to-day basis
- TT retains a core design agency for brand identity projects and related collateral, but also works with a network of independent freelance designers for day-to-day design work and non-core/non-identity projects
- All product development and related project management is coordinated online using 37signals Basecamp
- Customer bug reports and defects are captured by our customer ticketing system, which allows routing and tracking of discovered issues within TT and out to our developers as necessary
