- While in high school, Shepard was recognized multiple times for her creative writing with several scholarships and awards for outstanding fiction writing.
- During the lockdown, Shepard opened her own micro-bakery, setting up a farmstand in her rural New Hampshire town to share her baking, free of charge, with her community, focusing on organic, local ingredients and unique flavor profiles.
- Since the opening of the bakery, Shepard has been interviewed by several local food publications and has also been the judge for town and city cook-offs in her area.
Experience
Writing has always been a passion for Shepard. She likes to think of herself as a little bit Julia Child and a little bit Amy Sedaris. Since 2020, Shepard has written a food column for her local newspaper, creating recipes, sharing personal stories, and providing cooking advice to her community. Her mico-bakery, Shepard's Pie Baking Co., has become a fixture in her area and she has been expanding her business into multiple local markets.
Education
Shepard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College in Philosophy with a minor in Medical and Legal Ethics. Her college life was filled with flowery prose expounding on Nietzschean ethics. She also holds an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts from Macintosh College.
